I’m not your average Joe
I don’t have short stubby hair
I won’t show you off like a trophy
To my friends when they’re all there

Writing Psycho-analyticallyWhy do you write an entry?
Who do you have to tell?
Who would you want to know after all?

Do you want some attention or some sympathy?
Do you want someone to care?
Then why do you bother to write down an entry?

Who really wants to know?
Would you want to know of your own life?

Why exaggerate?
Why make up a fantasy when reality is just as boring?

Tell me a story.
Tell me about your life.
Tell me what you did today.

Was it exciting?

Tell me a fantasy.
Tell me some fiction.
Tell me something I couldn't figure out.

Could you do that?

Why do you bother exposing secrets on the web?
Everyone can see them
It's not like they're hid
Crossing Over The LineYou get those nasty stares from your friends
Those taunting words from those who don't know you
And you almost wish you didn't tell them
Sure, anyone you've told is up for experimenting
But you actually enjoy it more than a pity experiment
You wait until you're ready to tell your parents
One at a time in case there's that awful awkward silence
Mom doesn't know what to say
Dad, however, is a little less forgiving
He pretends you didn't just tell him you like the same sex
And he doesn't know how to respond
So he just walks away and talks to your mother
They talk for hours on the subject
You're listening in the dark quiet room near
