What is love?
A simple infatuation
Hiding true feelings from the world
A foolish attraction
Having an object of affection and passion
Or playing mind games
And pretending nothing ever happened
What is love?
Having someone very important to you
Stay close to you
Working hard at keeping the emotions there
What is love?
For it may be a just a hug
Disguised as something more
Hidden behind a façade
And nothing more
What is love?
But a mere word
Being true to your heart
And not hiding how you feel
Avoiding secrets and lies at all costs
And taking into account what is real
